How is TakeNote different from other lecture supplements?

TakeNote is Cornell's oldest and most well-established note-taking service. We receive explicit permission from professors before covering their courses EVERY semester. We select our notetakers very carefully. They are highly-trained dedicated students so we guarantee that notes from every lecture will be available. In addition, our 2017 team is committed to providing excellent customer service and can be reached at any time. Starting in the Spring 2017 semester, we guarantee that you will receive a response within 24 hours to any email.

How do I purchase TakeNote?

Live Notes can be purchased directly through the Cornell Store. It is the same process as buying a textbook. TakeNotes are listed as an optional eBook under textbooks for a particular course.

Clicking on the cover of the TakeNote on our 'Courses' page will take you directly to the corresponding class on the online Cornell store.

Reprints can be purchased through Redshelf. Clicking on the cover of the Reprint on our 'Courses' page will take you directly to the corresponding class on Redshelf.

What is the difference between Live Notes and Reprints?

Live Notes are courses where we have a notetaker in the class throughout the semester and upload notes on a weekly basis.
Reprints are notes from previous semesters with all the notes already uploaded when you purchase a subscription. Reprints are used for classes where course material has not changed much between semesters. In the past, customers have found reprints almost identical to the current lecture.
