TakeNote is a high-quality supplemental lecture note service for Cornell undergraduates. We provide notes for many of Cornell's most popular courses, with offerings in fields such as biology, economics, government, chemistry, psychology, sociology, nutrition, and more.
Our mission is to give students the best tools possible to understand and master course concepts. Our expert notetakers attend every lecture with you. They are intimately familiar with the course material, so they can focus on producing the highest quality notes for you. Most are graduate students or TAs for the class, and all have already taken the course and earned an A. All TakeNote classes are conducted with explicit professor approval.
With TakeNote, you can really concentrate on the material the professor presents, instead of worrying about scribbling down every word (or deciphering your handwriting later!). TakeNote can help you catch up on the material if you must miss a class. TakeNote can also supplement your own notes with more complete and accurate information. Many students - underclassmen in particular - feel that reviewing TakeNote helps them improve their own notetaking skills for future classes.
Our notes provide a structure that enables you to get the most out of every lecture. Not only does TakeNote highlight the main points of every lecture, but it also enhances your understanding of the material using graphs, diagrams, and summaries. By using your notes alongside TakeNote, you will be surprised how much you will learn.
TakeNote is delivered to North and West Campus mailboxes on Sunday evenings. Notes from the previous week are also available for pick-up at 409 College Avenue starting on Sundays from 12 - 6PM. Students may receive their TakeNote at the Cornell Store starting on Monday morning. Coming Fall 2012, students will have the option to subscribe for digital copies of the notes in addition to print versions, allowing for easy access to notes from a computer, mobile device or tablet.
